Reason for Investigation Request
This case was forwarded to TCPS from the Taps Case Manager. There are six occupants including two small children. Some of the activity reported included one of the occupants reported hearing their name called. Shadow figures have been seen in the basement and in what sounds like a heavy set person walking in the upstairs hallway. There have also been sounds of knocking on the window and cupboards opening and closing. One of the small children has said, “There is a ghost named Jeremy in the basement”. They then went to the basement and saw a shadow figure. The occupants have also heard this same child holding what sounds like a conversation in his bedroom.
Investigation Details
TCPS had three members present for this investigation. We were also joined by the one of the residents of the home. We arrived at 8:30 PM and began with a tour. During the tour there were locations pointed out by the resident that they focused on with their night vision DVR equipment. Camera 1 was pointed down the main upstairs hall. Camera 2 was pointed across the bottom of the stairs into the owner’s bedroom. Camera 3 was pointed across the living area in the basement. Each of the team members had audio recorders, EMF or K2 meters, thermometers, and still cameras. TCPS split into two teams to cover each floor. The client started with the team in the basement.
We began the first round taking baseline readings. Once the baseline readings were recorded the teams started with 10 minutes of silence. During this time a member of the group in the upstairs child’s bedroom thought he saw a white shadow run across the floor by his feet. He was so convinced he saw it that he asked if the cat was out of its cage. No abnormal reading coincided with this event. Also, while in the kids bedroom both team members reported that it felt like they were being watch from the bedroom across the hall. They checked for any high levels of EMF but the reading were around .1.
The second round was very quiet. Neither team reported anything unusual.
For the Third round the team switched clients. The "original" client left and his roommate joined us for the last round. TCPS had two team members and the client in the basement. We also had a team member by the stairs and one 10ft away by home base. We were able to watch all areas with the DVR system. At one point they thought they heard a strange sound coming from the basement bathroom area. After further investigation they discovered that the toilet stopper was not working properly. Nothing happened at home base.
Final Analysis
Although TCPS had one personal experience at the investigation, at this time we do not feel the residence is haunted. We were not able to capture any evidence that would support that there was paranormal activity taking place. This does not mean what the clients are experiencing are not paranormal, just that we were not able to validate their experiences. At this time, if the client asks TCPS for any further help, we would be glad to assist them in any way.
