Reason for Investigation Request

This case was referred to TCPS through a friend of the owner's. We were asked to investigate due to the uptake in activity at the location. The owner lives on the property with his two kids, ages six and seven. The owner has had the property for two years, but has lived on site for less than a year. Upon first acquiring the property, the owner rented out the property to a friend. This friend refused to sleep in the master bedroom and said she would only sleep on the living room couch because something in the house scared her. Several of the owner's friends have had experiences in the house as well. One friend woke up while in the master bedroom and said it felt like someone was sitting on her chest. Her hair was then pulled so hard by unseen forces that it practically pulled her up to a sitting position in bed. That friend left the same night and never returned to the house. Another of the owner's friends saw shadows and heard the voice of someone whispering.

Some of these accounts of activity the owner has experienced as well. The owner claims to hear someone whispering "can you hear me?" throughout the house on more than one occasion. Numerous electrical phenomena has also occurred involving the owner's alarm clock going on and off at times when the clock was not set; the TV and stereo system turning on/off by itself, and even some of the kids' toys have been reported to go off on their own. The owner also reported to us that he saw what he described as a "misty face" which appeared about three feet from the floor on the living room wall. The face was there for about a minute and then disappeared.

The owner admits to not wanting to stay in the house because he just feels creeped out by the activity he has experienced there and is concerned of what could happen to his children.

Research and Background on the Property

Not much history on this location could be found by our team. We do know that the house, which is a trailer, has been on the site since 1978. No known deaths have occurred on the property. There is local talk of a kid drowning in a nearby creek, but we were unable to find any information or proof to substantiate this claim.

TCPS had four members present for this investigation. Our team covered every area of this site including the main hot spots of reported activity. The group did not experience much activity during the night of our investigation. A few members did hear audible knocking sounds that they could not explain. It is interesting to note that the owner has heard the same type of sounds before as well. One of our members also heard an audible disembodied voice while investigating one of the kids' rooms. The voice directly answers a question posed by one of our members during an EVP recording session. No source for the voice could be found as it was determined the voice was neither any one from the team or someone outside.

During the course of our investigation, the team found unusual high EMF readings - ranging from 25 to 46 - in the living room, both coming from the computer and TV located there. This is the main spot for a lot of the activity that has happened within this house, so that could very well be a plausible explanation for the voices and/or apparition of a face on the living room wall.

Final Analysis

Although not many personal experiences or activity were witnessed during this investigation, TCPS surprisingly found several EVP's. We were also able to capture the few audible phenomena on our voice recorders from that night as well. Due to the lack of experiences or activity from the investigation and regardless of the fact that we did capture EVP's, TCPS can not say that this location is haunted. However, we do hope to return to this location for a follow-up investigation to see if we can either debunk some of the activity or witness the alleged activity first-hand. We will keep you updated should this happen.
