TCPS had 10 investigators present for this night’s investigation of the Soap Factory. As on the previous night, we had a buffer floor in-between each set of groups. Two groups could be on the same floor at a time with a floor in-between them and the other two groups.

Within three minutes of investigating the basement, one member from a group experienced what felt as though someone rushed right up into his face. This member did not feel as though there was an object or cobwebs around or near his face and other two members of his team were standing to the right of him at the time it occurred. A few minutes after this, another member from this team felt as though someone had walked in-between her and the other member standing next to her. Interestingly enough with both of these experiences, we were able to capture two different EVP’s that occurred at the same time as our members experienced this activity. After moving into the boiler room to investigate, this same group also heard a growling sound. A source for this sound could not be found and we did not pick up the noise on our digital recorders. About ten minutes after the growl was heard, two members from this team heard footsteps which sounded as though they were coming from the hallway directly outside of the boiler room. One member went to check and see if perhaps another investigator from the other team in the basement was there but found the hallway and surrounding rooms empty. Again, with this experience, we did pick up a strange banging sound on the recorder that happened around the same time the members heard the footsteps in the hallway. Oddly, the banging sound was not heard at all by the members present at the time it was captured on the recording.

The Main Floor held some other interesting experiences for this same group. About a half hour into the investigation round, the temperature in the room they were in dropped five degrees from what it had previously been moments before when the team took a temp reading. The temperature change was felt by all who were there and seemed to last a few minutes, then gradually the temp went back to the original 80 degrees as it was before. Around fifteen minutes later, the group heard footsteps in the big open section of the Main Floor that was just off a hallway where this team was located. The footstep sounds were described in our notes as a scuffling or shuffling of feet as they were walking. The other group on the Main Floor with them was in the Poker Room at the time and had not come out from there when the walking sounds were heard. Within minutes after the footstep sounds, a member from this group saw a shadow of someone walk behind her in the room. Everyone in the group at the time was sitting on the floor and no one had moved, nor did the team recall hearing a car go by that could have created a shadow coming in from the windows. The shadow movement could not be explained. Other activity noted from the Main Floor occurred with another team in the Poker Room. At two different times, the team heard heavy breathing and whispering coming from the hallway adjacent to where they were sitting. Upon checking the hallway both times, no one could be found.

The Second Floor once again did not prove to have much activity for our team. One group did report hearing the sound of footsteps coming from the third floor even though none of our investigators were on the third floor at the time. Another member also stated he saw shadows moving across the room at one point during the investigation round, but the team could not find a source for the shadows.

The only activity reported from the Third Floor from this investigation occurred when one member saw what looked like a shadow outline of a person come from a doorway and head straight at her where she was standing a few yards away. The figure then seemed to disappear before it got closer to her.

Final Analysis

Our team thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to investigate the Soap Factory. We feel very fortunate to be the first paranormal group to investigate this location as we had numerous personal experiences from both nights of investigation. TCPS was amazed at the number of EVP’s we were able to capture during our time spent there as typically we only capture a few per investigation. Between the personal experiences we had and the amount of EVP’s caught at this site, we do indeed believe the Soap Factory to be haunted. TCPS looks forward to hopefully coming back to this location to see what other evidence of spirit activity the Soap Factory holds. We will keep you updated on this case.
